About the Opportunity
A leading industrial manufacturing site in West Limerick is seeking a Safety Facilitator to join its dedicated Health & Safety team. The site operates to the highest international standards and is committed to continuous improvement, safety excellence, and employee wellbeing.
This role is ideal for a health and safety professional with strong experience in heavy industry or manufacturing who thrives in a proactive and compliance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and safety program in line with current legislation and company policies
- Maintain and audit compliance with ISO 45001 and the site’s Safety Management System
- Advise managers and staff on all aspects of health and safety regulations and internal procedures
- Lead or support risk assessments and implement effective controls to minimise risks
- Participate in accident/incident investigations and ensure hazards are closed out effectively
- Conduct workplace safety sampling, monitoring, and internal audits
- Deliver safety inductions and ongoing safety training across the site
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external safety organisations as required
What You Need
- A recognised qualification in Health & Safety (preferably NVQ Level 7 or equivalent)
- 5+ years of experience in a safety role within a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001 Safety Management Systems
- Experience in chemical risk assessments and control measures
- Familiarity with Legionella control and water safety procedures
- Understanding of occupational hygiene monitoring (e.g. dust, noise, chemicals, vibration)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
