Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer
Primary Purpose of Job: The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer maintains and develops the Ireland IT environment by participating in Technology rollouts and provides technical assistance to computer users across the enterprise.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
- Be a technical resource contributing to the rollout of new technologies across the organisation.
- Collaborate with and assist third party Managed Service and SOC providers.
- Act as a technical resource on multiple projects to successfully on-board newly acquired companies into the Company.
- Act as an escalation point for complex support problems.
- Have a deep understanding of security and its importance in relation to business goals.
- Participate in projects as required to facilitate improvements to business processes and/or infrastructure.
- Support on the documentation of procedures and processes in order to support the IT Servicedesk
- Provide support to the IT department as needed.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or relevant experience
- A minimum of 5 years IT Experience
- Microsoft 365 and Azure Administration
- Windows Server (2012+) Administration (Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS)
- Windows 10 configuration and management
- PowerShell Scripting
- SonicWALL\Fortinet Firewall Experience - VPN and SD-WAN
Desirable
- Network support experience which includes Wi-Fi, LAN, WAN, Switches and Cabling
- Working experience of VMWare, Citrix, MS Office, Server hardware and operating systems
- Management of cloud-based security services (MDM, Email Security, Web protection)
- Email Server migration experience (Exchange and Exchange Online)
- Previous experience in IT Servicedesk including supervision of IT Servicedesk ticketing system and liaising with 3rd party support
- Microsoft and Cisco Certifications a distinct advantage

Additional Requirements
As the company has locations across Ireland, there will be some travel involved therefore a full driving licence is required. Appropriate mileage will be paid.
Other Conditions
As the business operates 7 days a week, there will be some requirement to provide cover outside of normal working hours.
Salary for this role is circa €70,000 plus package, this is dependent on experience.
