I'm working with a high-impact public sector client looking for a Senior IT Security Administrator to step into a pivotal role across their IT and security function. It's a brilliant fit for someone who thrives in a hands-on, process-driven environment with room to influence.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day security tools (EDR, firewalls, vulnerability scanning)
- Manage incident response, from detection to post-incident review
- Maintain compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIS2 readiness
- Own policy documentation, change control, and DR/BCP processes
- Deliver internal security training and drive awareness initiatives
Requirements:
- 5+ years in security admin/engineering or GRC-focused roles
- Strong experience with Microsoft/Azure security tooling
- Proven exposure to ISO 27001 frameworks and audit processes
- Confident with risk management, compliance reporting, and vendor engagement
- Excellent communicator – able to simplify security for non-tech stakeholder
