Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and safety-conscious individuals to fill this Lead position for black utilities hard services maintenance and calibrations, based on one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies in Dublin 15.
You will have overall responsibility for the operation of all black utilities utility equipment and systems on-site. You will ensure that all operations are conducted in a safe and professional manner. In the event of a critical system failure, you will be the main point of contact and will be responsible for escalating the issue and allocating resources to quickly resolve the issue.
As this facility operates 24/7, you will also lead the morning Shift Pass-down meeting, reporting on equipment and system status from the previous 24 hours and highlighting any issues. You will be part of the leadership team that ensures safe and efficient operations, in your case the site's black utilities. These will include; Water for Injection, Process water, Reverse Osmosis, Waste Water, compressed air etc.
Day-to-day of the role:
- As the Lead, you will oversee the operations for your team and ensure that all equipment and systems are operated safely and efficiently and avail be for use at all times.
- You will have extensive knowledge of utilities across the site and will ensure that team members gain this knowledge also
- You will be fully conversant with the Expectations document and will ensure that all team members carry out their duties and responsibilities as per requirements
- You will allocate shift resources as required to carry out routine and non-routine shift functions, including routine PPMs as allocated and execution of the Rounds and Readings program
- In this lead position, you will be the key point of contact for any system deviations or failures, and will escalate issues as they arise as per site procedures.
- You will lead the shift handover meeting, ensuring all operational equipment status is relayed to the oncoming shift.
- You will also lead the daily Shift Pass-down meeting with teams, ensuring all issues are highlighted and corrective actions, etc. are identified.
- Other duties will include, managing the Permit-To-Work system for utilities under the scope, of the site team, sub-contractors, and where appropriate, project teams.
- Working closely with the Utilities Operations Lead, you will identify relevant technical and site training for each shift member and will ensure that all shift training curricula are current and up-to-date.
Required skills for this role:
- Trade qualification (mechanical) Engineering degree or equivalent,
- Good working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs for a wide range of plant equipment: Proven capability of working with Pumps, HVAC systems, Air Compressors, Steam Boilers, and Steam Systems ancillary services, Domestic Hot Water, Refrigerant Chillers, Cooling towers, Steam Boilers, High and Low Voltage electrical systems, PLC’s, Building Management Systems, Understanding of Basic Instrumentation.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to read and interrogate mechanical/ instrumentation; process drawings
