Team Overview
The Business Solutions team provides strategic technology solutions for global finance functions including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Client Profitability, Corporate Tax, Planning/Forecasting, Funds Transfer Pricing, and Regulatory Reporting. With team members and business stakeholders distributed globally, we are at the forefront of delivering resilient and scalable enterprise financial platforms.
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Developer to join our team and contribute to a multi-year global transformation program, focusing on modernizing and migrating legacy systems to next-generation platforms. You’ll be a core contributor to the team’s strategic roadmap, focused on building data-driven, high-performance solutions that support critical financial operations across the bank.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL solutions for large-scale enterprise databases.
- Migrate existing reference data functionality into modernized, strategic platforms.
- Build and enhance tools that reduce time-to-market for onboarding new data feeds—including solutions for data quality monitoring, reconciliation, and automated testing.
- Extend core reference data platforms with features that improve data quality, analytics, and operational insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Architects, and QA Engineers to define and implement robust solutions.
- Contribute to software design, story refinement, and architecture discussions.
- Provide third-level application support as needed to ensure high system availability and performance.
- Analyze business and data requirements to inform solution design and data modeling decisions.
- Mentor junior developers and share best practices in Oracle development and performance tuning.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development experience in large-scale, high-volume enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and advanced stored procedures.
- Proven experience with Oracle database features and tools for handling complex data transformation and reporting logic.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data modeling and reference data management.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with global stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Python or other scripting languages for automation or tooling is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Git, Jenkins.
- Knowledge of modern data integration technologies or cloud data platforms is a strong advantage.
- Prior experience in the finance domain, particularly regulatory or financial reporting, is highly desirable.
- Linux/UNIX experience and working knowledge of shell scripting.
