SHEQ Officer – Shannon & Foynes (Full-Time, Permanent)
🕒 Schedule: Monday to Friday | No weekends or night shifts
🧾 Reports to: SHEQ Manager

The Role
This is a practical, coordination-heavy role supporting Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) systems across two busy industrial sites.
You'll help ensure compliance, maintain documentation, and support internal teams with training, audits, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate SHEQ records and manage all related documentation
- Coordinate internal audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations
- Deliver safety inductions and basic SHEQ training for new staff and visitors
- Maintain training and preventative maintenance systems
- Support ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 compliance
- Review Safety Data Sheets in line with ECHA standards
- Track corrective actions and update MAI systems
- Order lab materials, PPE, first aid kits, and labels
- Maintain vehicle records (ADR, CVRT, driver training and data)
- Prepare and publish SHEQ KPIs
- Assist customer service and production teams with certification, inspections, and documentation
Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Previous experience in a SHEQ role
- Strong admin and coordination skills
- Good working knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)
- Confident communicator with excellent organisation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving approach
- Flexibility to support across teams and sites
- Full driving licence preferred
