Specialised Cardiac Physiologist, Band 7, Cambridge UK
Cpl Healthcare in partnership with Cambridge University Hospital are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Specialist Cardiac Physiologist for a permanent position within a non-invasive cardiology dept.
Cambridge University Hospitals is one of the largest and best-known trusts in the country. They deliver care through Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals.
The Non-Invasive Cardiology services include Transoesophageal Echocardiography, Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography, CRT baseline and optimisation. The department also runs a physiologist led open access echo service.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a state of the art department with an excellent support structure.
As a specialist Cardiac Physiologist, you will work as part of a well structured team and will be required to be involved in all aspects of the non-invasive Cardiology Department.
You will be required to perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms, physiologist led exercise treadmill tests, tests, 24 hour Holter monitors, 7 day cardiac monitors, 24 hour blood pressure monitors and 12 lead ECG’s.
Interested candidates are required to hold:
· A degree in Cardiac Physiology (BSc) or Healthcare Science (BSc) specialism in Cardiology (PTP) or Master in Healthcare Science specialising in Cardiology (or equivalent experience/skills BTech, HTech Cardiac Physiology)
· BSE Accreditation (or equivalent completed)
· Independent reporting to a high standard
· Registration with or be eligible for registration with the Society for Cardiological Science & Technology (SCST) or Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS)
