Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business and bring strong technical accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, and proven experience working in a fast-paced commercial environment. Key Responsibilities:
· Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently in Sage 200
· Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
· Performing bank and intercompany reconciliations
· Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures
· Perform monthly stock valuation & reconciliation
· Maintaining accurate financial records
· Preparing and analysing financial and management reports using advanced Excel functions
· Supporting credit control and liaising professionally with customers by phone and email
· Support VIES/INTRASTAT returns and Revenue compliance
· Dealing with Revenue online (ROS) and customs paperwork
· Support continuous improvement of finance processes and controls
Essential Requirements:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience working in accounts environment
· Sage 200 experience or other similar accounting software.
· Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, reporting).
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with native level fluency in English
· Ability to work independently and in a team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills are essential
Desirable
- Third-level qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline or ATI qualification
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA pathway)
- Experience supporting management accounts
