My client is seeking a Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist to join their finance team. This growing company is located 20 minutes East of Cork City. This role is responsible for managing weekly payroll processes, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
Responsibilities:
Payroll
- Process end to end weekly payroll, including ERR and auto-enrolment, in conjunction with HR and Accounts
- Review and reconcile timesheets.
- Post wages journals accurately to the accounting system
- Handle day-to-day payroll queries from employees
- Liaise with employees, HR, and Production regarding payroll legislation and ensure records are updated accordingly
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Run weekly creditor payment runs
- Respond to internal and external queries relating to payments
- Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks, particularly during month-end close
Requirements:
- Proven experience in payroll processing and/or accounts payable
- Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with employees, HR, and external stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
