A well-established and innovative manufacturing company is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the South & West of Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional with a strong network in the Construction and/or Engineering sectors to join a dynamic team and make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the Construction and Engineering sectors.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans for key accounts.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline aligned with production and supply chain teams.
- Become an expert in the company’s value proposition, products, and services to maximise upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Accurately update CRM and ERP systems with enquiries, quotes, and orders.
- Provide monthly performance reports to senior leadership.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
- Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Business Development role within the Construction or Engineering sectors.
- Proven success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with a proactive and customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly.
- Collaborative team player with cross-functional communication skills.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Professional, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP systems.
