Business Development Manager – Life Sciences (Europe - Remote)
A global manufacturer of high-purity chemicals is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across Europe within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device markets.
This is a remote, field-based role and represents a rare opportunity to be one of the first commercial hires in Europe, with responsibility for developing key accounts and opening new business for a premium, sustainability-focused product portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow direct and distributor sales across Europe
- Manage and expand relationships with pharma, biotech, and CDMO customers
- Drive new business for high-purity solvents, reagents, buffer solutions, and bulk liquids
- Build a strong opportunity pipeline and manage strategic accounts
- Work cross-functionally with product, operations, and global commercial teams
Background
- 4+ years’ experience in technical sales or business development within pharma or biotech
- Currently selling into large-molecule / biologics customers, including biotech and biopharma organisations
- Proven experience selling reagents, solvents, buffers, ethanol, or bulk chemicals
- Comfortable with a technical, consultative sales approach
- Experience with direct and distributor sales models
- Based in Germany, Belgium, or the Netherlands
- Willing to travel (25–50%)
