Clerical Officer Grade IV
Location: Tallaght, Dublin 24
Salary: 19.57 per hour
Monday - Friday 35 hours per week.
Contract Type: Temporary (3-month contract, with view of permanency
Purpose of the Role
The Clerical Officer will provide high-quality administrative and clerical support to the team in Tallaght. The role involves general office administration, minute-taking, processing payroll information, and assisting with financial tasks to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support including typing, filing, photocopying, and handling correspondence.
- Take and distribute accurate meeting minutes in a timely manner.
- Process payroll information and maintain related records in accordance with company procedures.
- Support financial processes such as invoicing and purchase orders
- Maintain and update databases and records in line with data protection and confidentiality standards.
- Respond to queries (in person, by phone, and by email) in a professional and helpful manner.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, returns, and statistics as required.
- Liaise effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders to support service delivery.
- Carry out any other duties relevant to the post as directed by management.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role within a busy office environment.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in minute-taking and document preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general IT systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
