A public sector body in South Wexford is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Clerical Officer Grade III to join their busy administrative team. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and be confident handling a high volume of data entry and communication tasks.
Contract Type: Initial 3-month contract, with a view to extension
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Start Date: Immediate
Hourly Rate: €16.93
Key Responsibilities
- Upload referrals to the database accurately and efficiently
- Manage schedules and ensure all capacity is optimised
- Respond to incoming phone queries from service users, GPs, and colleagues
- Book new appointments and confirm details as required
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve queries promptly
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support operations
- Maintain accurate records and uphold data integrity
- Support the wider team with day-to-day administrative tasks
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of administration or clerical experience (medical administration experience desirable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and high-speed, accurate data entry skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational ability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads effectively in a busy environment
