Job Purpose:
Ensuring all patient charts are accurately pulled, prepared, and ready for clinics. This role supports the smooth running of clinics by maintaining accurate and timely preparation of medical records and ensuring high standards of confidentiality and organisation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Retrieve, pull, and prepare all patient charts for upcoming clinics in accordance with daily schedules.
- File charts accurately after clinics and ensure they are returned to the correct storage areas.
- Update patient records and ensure all documentation is complete and in order before clinics.
- Liaise with clinical and administrative staff to ensure charts are available as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with hospital policies and GDPR.
- Assist with general clerical duties within the department (filing, data entry, photocopying, etc.).
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role as assigned by line management.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Previous clerical or administrative experience in a healthcare or similar environment desirable.
- Knowledge of medical records systems and hospital administrative processes an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
