Commercial Solar PV Sales Manager – National
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to support the continued growth of our commercial solar PV and distributed energy portfolio. This is a key role focused on driving sales performance, developing bespoke solar PV solutions, and strengthening long-term client relationships across Ireland.
The Role
- Lead the full commercial sales cycle from initial enquiry through proposal, negotiation, contract signing, and handover
- Identify and develop opportunities with SMEs, corporates, and public-sector clients
- Build strong relationships with developers, architects, engineers, and key stakeholders
- Conduct site assessments and client consultations to assess technical and commercial feasibility
- Support solution design through interpretation of PV layouts, grid requirements, and yield data
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams using tools such as PVSol, PVSyst, or Helioscope
- Prepare and manage proposals, tenders, ROI models, and commercial contracts
- Track pipeline activity and sales performance via CRM
- Contribute to commercial strategy, market engagement, and continuous sales process improvement
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
- 3–5+ years’ experience in technical sales or business development within solar PV, renewables, or engineering services
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, components, and grid connections
- Proven experience managing tenders, bids, and contract negotiations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
- Right to work in Ireland
