Flexsource are currently recruiting for a Cook for our Client based in Dalkey, This will be a part time role working Monday to Wednesday 9.00am-15.00pm.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of kitchen experience and a strong commitment to preparing balanced, nutritious meals for elderly residents. This role requires both technical cooking skills and a high level of empathy, patience, and understanding toward residents’ dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare balanced and nutritious meals, taking into account residents’ dietary requirements, allergens, and individual needs.
Create meals that support overall health, wellbeing, and special nutritional plans.
Assist in planning weekly and monthly menus, ensuring variety, nutrition, and alignment with dietary guidelines.
Contribute ideas for seasonal dishes, themed meals, and special dietary options.
Prepare and cook a range of meals, dishes, and desserts to a high standard.
Ensure food is consistently well-prepared, attractive, and served at appropriate temperatures.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year working in a professional kitchen.
Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene best practices.
Ability to manage a kitchen environment during busy meal periods.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Empathetic, patient, and committed to high-quality care for elderly residents.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
