Hours of work: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Flexi with core hours of 10.00-16.00
The post holder will be responsible for providing support for the Logistics Services and Customs and Compliance department and will be responsible for the effective co-ordination with transport partners and Brokers regarding the issuance and management of the customs clearance instructions for the UK and Ireland organisations. The post holder will also be responsible for supporting the maintenance of a range of UK and Irish procedures and schedules pertaining to customs import and export activities and ongoing management of Customs special procedures including, Authorised Economic Operator (AEO), Customs Warehouse (CW) and Inward Processing Relief (IPR).

Job specific requirements:
- Understand the role of AEO, CFSP, CW and IPR and will be involved in the ongoing maintenance and execution of these procedures for our client.
- Advise internal departments and customers of new and revised customs procedures affecting their processes and documentation.
- Assist with Global compliance advising Customers on best practise in relation to duty and VAT for the importation of materials. This includes providing expert advice on the most appropriate harmonisation codes to be used for product types to specific destinations.
- Liaise with the Exporters and Brokers to ensure Customs Compliance including performing monthly audits of import records.
- Support Customs audits when necessary.
- Support the department managers within the Logistics and Project Department with the delivery of customs procedures, to enable the individual functions to successfully integrate new processes as a result of customs procedures into the department.
- Generate quality documentation to facilitate the processes in terms of change requests, quality incidents reports or technical queries.
- Fulfil any necessary administrative duties as per processes required.
- Maintain key relationships with internal and external clients, logistics & regulatory agencies.
- Maintain Standard Operating procedures and ensure all work is covered by site specific procedure.
- Maintain good working relationships within the Logistics Department and with all other departments in the division.
- Maintenance of Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in the department to conform to Good Manufacturing Practices and current Health & Safety regulations.
