About the Role
We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to join a key client account for one of the world’s largest and most respected pharmaceutical companies. This role is based in Kinsale, Ireland, with occasional travel to other locations as required.
As the primary EHS point of contact, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive safety culture and ensuring the highest standards of compliance across a broad range of services—including catering, cleaning, technical services, reception, and GxP environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a strong, proactive health and safety culture across all service lines.
- Provide expert EHS advice, support, and guidance to operational teams.
- Develop, implement, and review site-specific health and safety procedures and policies.
- Deliver engaging and effective EHS training to ensure compliance and awareness.
- Carry out regular audits, inspections, and safety walks to monitor performance.
- Investigate all incidents and near misses thoroughly, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up actions.
- Maintain and update risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Collaborate with the wider Irish HSEQ network to share insights and promote continuous improvement.
- Compile and present monthly reports, tracking key metrics such as KPIs and Lost Time Injury Rates (LTIR).
About You – Essential Requirements
- A minimum of a Level 8 qualification (or equivalent) in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in an EHS role, preferably within facilities management or a highly regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, healthcare, or manufacturing).
- Strong knowledge of Irish health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Competent in conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
