Job Summary:
An established organisation operating in a regulated manufacturing environment is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join its team on a 12-month contract at a West Dublin site. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of manufacturing and facility equipment while supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all activities in a safe manner by identifying risks and implementing appropriate mitigation actions.
- Respond promptly and effectively to equipment failures or issues within a cross-functional environment.
- Accurately record maintenance interventions, including failure codes, and recommend preventative actions where required.
- Execute planned maintenance routines, including predictive, preventative, and calibration activities.
- Ensure all work orders are completed on time and in full compliance, with accurate asset management data capture.
- Provide clear and concise verbal and written handovers to colleagues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve job plans and spare parts management.
- Support major equipment overhauls and coordinate external vendors while on site.
- Assist in the development of training materials and support cross-training of colleagues.
- Support other functions with activities such as equipment set-up, sampling, and cleaning validation.
- Work effectively within cross-functional teams using Operational Excellence tools and techniques.
- Maintain audit readiness at all times, ensuring high housekeeping standards and timely completion of required training.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
- FETAC Level 6 Electrical qualification (or equivalent) is essential, with a strong mechanical aptitude
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a maintenance or relevant engineering role within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience in biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, medical device, facilities maintenance, or FMCG environments is required.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
- High attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately in a changing environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to meet scheduled timelines.
