Finance Business Partner – Belfast - £43,000 - £46,600 - 3-Month Contract
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong analytical skills and public sector experience to contribute to an organisation that delivers vital services across Northern Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead on budgeting and forecasting, monitoring spend against forecasts and preparing monthly expenditure reviews.
· Provide accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports.
· Analyse financial data, identify pressures and savings opportunities, and present insights to senior stakeholders.
· Reconcile payroll and salary forecasts with the General Ledger, including agency staff.
· Support long-term financial planning, policy development, and process improvement.
· Engage with budget holders to provide financial advice and ensure effective cost management.
· Contribute to the automation and standardisation of financial reporting packs.
About You
· Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
· Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
· Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations).
· Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data, providing clear insights.
· Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly with non-financial colleagues.
· Previous public sector finance experience highly desirable.
