Finance Business Partner/ SAR Controller Lead
Location: Manchester (2 days onsite, 3 from home)
Duration: 9 months
Pay rate: £51.17 per hour PAYE
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Job Description Summary:
A Business Partner role that involves the analysis and monitoring of divisional and functional costs. This person would act as an interface with the relevant Functions. The role consists of supporting and advising the Business on the overheads financial matters.
Job Description:
• Supporting decision making on overhead costs by providing insights and transparency on spend, capitalization and FTEs
• Leading, coordinating and presenting financial results to different Business Partners, which includes actual performance, outlook, budget and risks and opportunities
• Monitoring upcoming and ongoing global service projects
• Building strong relationships with senior managers and their teams
• Leading outlook and budget planning cycle processes
• Preparing and analyzing overhead costs consolidation
• Supporting innovation on reporting and system (new dashboard / new reports)
• Acting as a point of contact to support the team in preparing ad-hoc analysis (overhead costs and holding division)
• Ensure correctness of the overhead reporting, which includes compliance with group policies and financial reporting
• Supporting controlling activities
• Preparing and analyzing the cost allocation process from the global functions to the Divisions
• Supporting simplification and standardization across the function, in term of reporting, planning and analysis
• Hands-on experience in end-to end M&A process
• Proven track record supporting or leading carve-out transactions
Experience, Education and Skills:
• 5-10 years exp required
• Bachelor to Master degree Field of Study Accounting / Finance / Economics or other relevant major
• Degree in a Finance related field
• Advanced years of experience in finance related functions and experience in international roles exposed to senior management is required
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively to explain financial concepts to non-finance people
• Solid organizational, planning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and general computer skills particularly with accounting systems (SAP preferred) and reporting
