Financial Accountant
We are seeking an experienced and driven Financial Accountant to join our expanding finance function based in Ballymount. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership of key reporting responsibilities, contribute to ongoing process improvement, and support a fast‑paced finance team operating across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
Support period‑end close activities, including preparation and management of P&L and Balance Sheet for several entities
Ensure regular reconciliation of balance sheets, including intercompany accounts
Maintain strong bank reconciliation processes, support payroll preparation, and monitor cashflow
Reconcile and report key P&L costs, working closely with budget holders on monthly reviews
Drive continuous improvement of financial controls and processes
Contribute to the annual budgeting process
Assist in preparing statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors
Produce financial KPI reporting and present monthly reports to the Finance Director
Respond to ad‑hoc information requests from internal stakeholders
Participate in improvement initiatives and support project work within the finance team
Supervise and support junior finance team members
Requirements
Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with 3+ years’ post‑qualification experience in a similar role
Strong commercial awareness and solid business acumen
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
Strong ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
Proven capability to deliver accurate, timely reporting using numerical analysis and appropriate methodologies
Ability to build strong internal and external working relationships
