Job Title: Financial Accountant
Division/Function: Finance
Reports to: Finance Manager
Role Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a dynamic finance function that provides comprehensive financial and transactional support across a range of business areas. Reporting to the Finance Manager – Reporting, the successful candidate will contribute to the preparation of management information, financial statements, regulatory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit coordination. The role will involve regular interaction with senior stakeholders, monthly trial balance reviews, reconciliations, and supporting financial operations across a diverse and evolving organisation.
Principal Accountabilities
· Financial & Management Reporting:
· Month‑end process including general ledger review, journal review and approval.
· Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, reporting and reconciliations.
· Preparation of regulatory reporting submissions.
· Preparation of annual and interim financial statements under FRS102.
· Preparation of operating budgets and forecasts.
· Ad‑hoc analysis and drafting responses to external information requests.
Taxation & Compliance:
· Assist with preparation and submission of tax returns.
Audit:
· Support coordination of internal and external audits.
Other Responsibilities:
· Provide financial support and business partnering services as required.
· Identify and implement process improvements.
· Assist in documenting financial processes, procedures, and controls.
Experience & Qualifications
· Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 2+ years’ PQE.
· Experience in financial services or banking is advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt quickly.

· Flexible and adaptable to change.
Technical Knowledge
· Familiarity with general ledger systems (Infor SunSystems advantageous).
· Strong Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills.
