Finance Analyst – FP&A

About the Role
My client is seeking a talented Finance Analyst to join their Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team within the broader Financial Reporting and Accounting Policy (FRAP) function in Dublin. This role will directly support the global FP&A teams based in London and New York, while also contributing to select financial reporting activities as needed.
The FP&A team plays a critical role in delivering financial insights and strategic support to senior leadership, driving business performance and informed decision-making. The successful candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with experience in financial services preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial dashboards for senior leadership, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze current and historical financial trends across revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators to enhance forecasting accuracy.
- Support the firm’s annual budgeting and forecasting cycles by working closely with leadership to integrate strategic initiatives.
- Create value-added financial analyses that support decision-making and performance assessments.
- Collaborate with business units to build robust financial models for evaluating strategic initiatives, such as product expansion and new business opportunities.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and help develop new analytical frameworks to better understand the business.
- Partner with teams across Finance, Risk, Corporate Strategy, and HR on firm-wide initiatives.
- Provide ad-hoc financial reporting support alongside other FRAP team analysts as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis role, ideally within financial services.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (experience with macros or VBA is a plus).
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and influence across teams and levels.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
