Job Title: HVAC Project Manager
Location: Cork
Overview
A fast-growing, global leader in data centre cooling solutions is seeking an experienced and highly organised HVAC Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of complex data centre projects across the EMEA region.
Reporting to the Projects Director, the successful candidate will have a strong background in project management within the data centre, construction, or mechanical engineering sectors, and will play a key role in managing projects from design through manufacture, delivery, installation, and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact throughout the design, manufacture, factory testing, and site delivery phases of assigned projects
- Manage day-to-day execution of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with client and company requirements
- Lead and coordinate client communications and stakeholder engagement
- Develop, implement, and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation
- Prepare and maintain all project management records and reports
- Support design teams and document control in the compilation and submission of technical documentation and submittals
- Track project milestones, deadlines, deliverables, and budgets
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved specifications and contract terms
- Manage and coordinate site-based technical teams and on-site activities
- Produce and manage all project health and safety documentation
- Organise and lead factory acceptance testing (FAT) and client-related testing activities
- Manage change orders, variations, and scope adjustments effectively
- Deliver full post-production documentation including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and spare parts lists
- Liaise effectively between internal teams, clients, suppliers, and third-party contractors
- Attend project meetings (in person and remotely) as required
- Provide weekly and monthly project progress and commercial reports to senior management
- Identify, resolve, or escalate project issues in a timely manner
- Support finance teams with commercial matters when required
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, including handling sensitive or complex information professionally
- Understand revenue models, P&L performance, and cost-to-completion forecasting
- Travel to project sites as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualification in Project Management or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience in a project management role within a construction, M&E, or data centre environment
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and air handling systems
- Excellent organisational, planning, and multitasking skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Experience with Procore and/or BIM360 is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements on construction sites
- SSSTS / SMSTS or equivalent health & safety qualification desirable
