The role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of a Food Chemistry laboratory, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025, INAB, Health & Safety regulations, and customer requirements. It oversees daily testing operations, manages departmental teams, and ensures timely, accurate, and cost-effective sample processing. As a key member of the site management team, the position contributes to strategic planning, supports client launches, and drives standardization across the network.
The role provides leadership in operational management, workflow planning, capacity management, cost control, and KPI performance, including turnaround times and OPEX metrics. It also ensures technical excellence through method development, validation, data integrity, root-cause analysis, CAPA, and internal/external audit support.
A strong focus is placed on people leadership—developing managers and supervisors, building talent pipelines, and fostering a positive, inclusive, high-performance culture. The role collaborates closely with customers, commercial teams, and cross-functional departments to meet client needs and support business growth.
Additionally, the position leads continuous improvement initiatives, Lean projects, and operational efficiency programs while promoting a robust culture of health, safety, quality, and proactive problem-solving.
