Mapping and Charting Officer
CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for a Mapping and Charting Officer (E01 Grade) to join their team on a temporary contract, with possibility of extension.
· Pay Rate - £16.45 per/hr
· Location – DoF, LPS Survey Infrastructure Development
· Benefits – 37 days holiday per annum
· Hours – 37 hours per week
Responsibilities will include:
The post will involve assisting the Geospatial Survey Service team to complete bespoke survey projects including using a range of equipment, processing survey data, and creating survey outputs to meet customer requirements.
· Completing QA work of LiDAR, DTM and DSM data
· Acting as an Observer for UAV surveys to capture imagery and LiDAR data
· Mobile scanning, terrestrial laser scanning, GNSS, and EDM surveying and setting out
· Use of Terrasolid, DJI Terra, ESRI ArcGIS, Pegasus Manager
· Producing Orthophotography, Point Clouds, 3D Mesh Models & DTMs/DSMs
· Provision of customer support
· Working to and meeting agreed targets after all suitable training is completed.
· Complying with all relevant Health and Safety procedures.
Essential Experience/Qualifications
· Experience in any of the above would be beneficial.
Relevant or Equivalent Qualifications
