Market Manager
Our client, a major multinational player and leading employer in the region, within the engineering components sector are seeking an experienced Market Manager to lead the Product Management department as a standalone, strategic function.

The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Market Manager will be responsible for managing a team of four product marketing professional, focused on introducing, managing, and optimising products for the Irish market.
Key responsibilities to include:
Strategic Leadership
· Lead and develop a team of four Product Executives.
· Define and execute the product management strategy aligned with Group priorities and the Ireland commercial plan.
· Drive category focus across key strategic areas such as PPE, Anchors, Screws, DINO, and other core lines.
Portfolio & Category Management
· Manage and optimise the full product lifecycle: selection, introduction, maintenance, performance monitoring, and retirement.
· Work closely with the Group to identify relevant existing products suitable for the Irish market.
· Own product hygiene and governance, ensuring accurate data, pricing integrity, stock control alignment, and product compliance.
Market & Customer Insight
· Analyse the Irish market landscape to understand customer needs, trends, competitor activity, and opportunities.
· Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure product decisions drive commercial performance.
Product Launch & Execution
· Lead the introduction of group products into the Irish market with high execution standards.
· Collaborate with Marketing to build effective go-to-market plans, product positioning, and sales enablement.
· Support the Sales organisation through product training, performance insights, and ongoing category support.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Work closely with Sales Management, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure product availability, correct pricing, and profitable growth.
· Ensure alignment with Group strategy, systems, and processes while tailoring to the needs of the Irish market.
Experience & Qualifications that we need:
· 4 years+ proven experience in Product Management, Category Management, — preferably in B2B, industrial, or technical products.
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Marketing, Commerce, Supply Chain,
· or relevant area of study desirable.
· Experience managing and developing a team to high performance standards
· Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering product/category growth.
· Excellent analytical ability grounded in data-driven decision making.
· Strong communication and influence skills across stakeholders.
The Offer:
This a permanent full-time role, with hybrid work model, with negotiable salary that will depend on the experience and qualifications of the candidate but is expected to be in region of €45K-€48K plus per annum.
