About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Person in Charge (PIC) to lead and manage a designated centre for older people in line with HIQA Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong clinical and operational leadership within the nursing home
- Ensure compliance with HIQA regulations, standards, and inspection requirements
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care
- Manage staffing, rostering, supervision, and ongoing staff development
- Lead on clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement
- Act as the main point of contact with HIQA, residents, families, and external stakeholders
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in nursing older persons within the last 6 years
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a nursing management/leadership role
- Relevant management qualification
- Knowledge of HIQA standards and regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Eligibility to work in Ireland (Critical Skills Employment Permit holders must meet transfer eligibility requirements)
