As they continue to grow their UK presence, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacovigilance Officer / Deputy Local PV Responsible Person (LPVRP) to join their UK team. The Role
In this role, you’ll act as a key contact point for all things Pharmacovigilance in the UK, working closely with the global PV team. You’ll ensure the business meets all local safety regulations, respond to emerging safety concerns, and contribute to the continuous improvement of PV systems and compliance processes.
This position would suit someone who’s looking to step up in responsibility while still receiving plenty of support from experienced global colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the local Pharmacovigilance system and ensure it aligns with both UK regulations and internal procedures.
- Act as the deputy for the UK LPVRP, supporting compliance and ensuring business continuity.
- Monitor and escalate safety concerns, legislation changes, or urgent issues to the global team.
- Liaise with health authorities, trade bodies, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide pharmacovigilance training to internal teams and ensure training compliance.
- Support audits, inspections, and CAPA management as needed.
- Oversee risk minimisation activities and the management of safety reports received locally.
- Contribute to SOP development and document control for PV processes.
Requirements:
- A degree in pharmacy, life sciences, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of Pharmacovigilance experience at the local affiliate level.
- Strong knowledge of PV regulations and compliance standards.
- Confidence in working with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, time management and organisation skills.
- A proactive mindset and desire to take ownership as the department evolves.
