Position: Process Chemist
Location: Macclesfield
Salary: £18-24 p/h
Employment type: 12 month contract
Working as part of the Process Chemistry Development team, you will be working closely with analytical chemists, engineers, project managers and scientists to contribute to pharmaceutical development programs.
Role:
•Design and implement new chemical routes and processes suitable for scale-up
•Optimise chemical manufacturing processes
•Aid in the design and development of synthetic routes and processes that deliver API’s of medicines in viable ways
•Support project progression through late clinical development and launch
•Collaborate with other scientists and work cross-functionally with other teams
•Support with development / manufacturing issues
•Consider cost, quality, speed, reproducibility and efficiency during projects
Requirements:
•BSc in Organic Chemistry, MSc or PhD is highly desirable
•Experience in practical organic synthesis
•Postgraduate experience in an academic or industrial laboratory
•Knowledge of synthetic reagents and methodologies, reaction mechanisms and modern analytical techniques
