Your output will facilitate the development of new and improved processes used in the research and development of our drugs.
How You Will Achieve It
A science and laboratory-based position. Candidate’s responsibilities will include:
· Preparation of cell culture media, solutions and buffers within the Preparation Laboratory.
· Analyses and verification of key process measures, laboratory equipment operation (balances, mixers) and records keeping (formulation/batch records).
· Turnaround (cleaning, prep/sterilization) and supply of glassware and other equipment.
· Calibration of equipment such as analytical balances, pipettes etc.
· Maintaining stock levels of laboratory consumables and equipment for the group.
· Preparation of written procedures for activities carried out within the functional Laboratory.
· Participation on technical development projects with cell culture and purification scientists as required to support developmental and commercial operation.
· Participation with members of MSAT in ensuring that the Pilot Lab & laboratories remain in conformance with Health & Safety and Environmental regulations for such a facility.
· Participation with members of the MSAT team in ensuring that all staff works safely within the building.
· Media and buffer optimization project support to enable transfer of candidate processes.
· Execution of filtration sizing studies to enable appropriate scaling of filter technologies for media and solution preparations.
Skills and Qualifications
· Leaving Certificate or equivalent international qualification
· 0-3+ years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical / manufacturing industry or 0-3+ years of relevant experience as a laboratory technician
· Ability to troubleshoot technical issues
· Work independently with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong computer skills
