Overview
An organisation within the renewable energy and infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Property Solicitor to join its Real Estate Legal Team. The successful candidate will support the Commercial Real Estate and Planning Solicitor Lead on a major title‑registration project and provide legal advice across all property, planning, and commercial real estate matters relating to ongoing projects and transactions.
This is a key role for a commercially minded solicitor with strong property expertise and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned legal workstream of property transactions and support the delivery of a large-scale, in‑house title‑review and conveyancing project.
- Assist with all aspects of title registration for a diverse land portfolio, ensuring accurate, timely submission to the Property Registration Authority.
- Address title defects, rectification issues and registration queries, working closely with internal teams and external legal advisors.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate documents and secure third‑party land rights, ensuring regulatory and legal compliance.
- Provide support on property‑related litigation and disputes; liaise with external counsel as required.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of real estate and planning law to inform business decisions and support project approvals.
- Contribute to corporate governance processes, including drafting documents, advising on governance requirements, and ensuring alignment with internal policies.
- Identify risks proactively and propose effective solutions to support timely project delivery.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external legal advisors to ensure consistent, aligned approaches to legal matters.
- Participate fully in health & safety practices and the organisation’s performance‑management processes.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with strong expertise in Irish property law, including complex title registration and conveyancing.
- Experience managing property‑related projects or legal processes from initiation through completion.
- Strong commercial understanding, with experience in real estate transactions, planning matters, and/or infrastructure or renewable‑energy projects (advantageous).
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Strong organisational ability with the capacity to work independently and use initiative.
- Experience coordinating or overseeing small teams is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Legal Case Management Systems beneficial.
