We’re looking for a highly skilled and collaborative Demand Planner to join our client's team in Dublin 15 and take ownership of their regional demand planning processes in the dynamic biopharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Demand Consensus Meetings with cross-functional teams (BI&T, Product Managers, Finance, Market Contacts, and BI&T in-market teams). Ensure DCM outcomes, including clear decisions, risk and opportunities, selection amongst low/middle/high scenario for planning case, and escalations to S&OP are documented and circulated.
• Partner with markets to reflect internal/external market data, qualitative adjustments to short-medium risks and opportunities and intelligence into the forecast. Insights include competitive intelligence, supply chain disruptions, seasonality adjustments, adjustments to hedge on uncertain outcomes such as anticipated parallel trade, new claims/indications, promotion uplift, regulatory approval, timelines, LOE and generic entry dates, competitive pipeline development, health policy and reimbursement changes, market access and pricing negotiations, pharmacovigilance data, and tenders.
• Ensure demand plans are optimized to manage risk based on market/supply chain dynamics.
• Execute ad hoc analytics to support needs of the business including but not limited to financial reconciliation, KPI analytics and scenario planning.
• Monitor demand planning KPIs: Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, Sales consumption. Investigate significant deviations from targets and establish plans for improvement.
• Document & Investigate gaps between Finance Budget and Supply Forecast and share them through Demand Consensus Meeting, escalation through S&OP.
• Provide actionable data analysis to support business cases for demand plans using data-driven methods.
• Work with cross functional teams to support sales and finance team in revenue attainment.
• Partner on Global Demand Reviews where required.
• Support Regional S&OPs - Document & Investigate gaps between Finance Budget and Supply Forecast and share them through Demand Consensus Meeting.
• Participate in the integration & coordination of demand strategies between markets/customers and OpU Supply Chain planning to drive exceptional customer service and in market performance.
• Work with CPSO leadership, as appropriate, to strengthen relationships with Markets/Customers and Supply teams to ensure a customer focused orientation and to ultimately ensure that required production is in place to meet required market demand.
• Support government tenders, direct import programs and clinical supply requests in alignment with local market partners ensuring communication with Demand Partners
• Support New Product Introductions as required.
• Support the discontinuation of BMS products with customer/market stakeholders.
• Provide input, as appropriate, into quarterly inventory projections and budgeting process to highlight how forecast trends are driving projection and liaise with supply sites in relation to any queries raised.
• Ensure key supply chain metrics for customers/markets in scope of responsibility are achieved, providing analysis and commentary to commercial partners.
• Liaise with business partners and Local Representatives/distributor markets within region if applicable.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Extensive related experience within the Pharmaceutical or Consumer industries
• Demand Planning experience, exposure to process, ERP, and Advanced Systems leading practices
• Understanding of financial terms (P&L, Budget etc) and key business drivers impacting Operations
• Understands Forecasting and Demand Planning process and KPIs (Forecast Accuracy, Bias, MAPE etc)
• Knowledge of/exposure to ERP, ideally SAP BW reporting, and related supply chain planning systems and data analysis tools (ex-Tableau, Excel)
• Understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or other regulatory industries
• Basic operational understanding of Logistics, Warehousing and Transportation
• Knowledge of compliance procedures (regulatory/ financial /EHS)
• Strong analytical, organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
