Role Overview:
The Scheduling Administrator plays a key role in coordinating and managing transportation schedules. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, carriers, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and adjust freight and transportation schedules based on operational needs and customer requirements.
- Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to confirm availability and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, and delivery documentation.
- Support logistics and operations teams with data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Use scheduling and logistics software to manage workflows and update systems in real time.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling efficiency and process optimization.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in scheduling, logistics coordination, or administrative support (preferably in freight or transportation).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics/scheduling software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TMS).
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities under pressure.
