We are currently recruiting for a number of Scrum Master positions for our client, based in Dublin.
The roles are 90% remote, 2-3 days per month from office maximum.
Day to day in the role:
- You will be the Scrum Master on a team that is located across Ireland and the US
- You will advise and lead the team on agile values, practices and processes to ensure that the team is fully functional, productive, and focused on the sprint goals
- You will run all the scrum events such as sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review and sprint retrospective
- You will work with the team and product area to resolve challenges and remove impediments
- You will participate in scaled agile events and will sometimes be required to facilitate at these events or lead and co-ordinate the logistics for these events
- You will participate in your Scrum Master chapter, contributing to and driving best practices
- You will build positive relationships within and across teams

Qualifications / Experience
- Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years of industry experience in a software development environment, and 2+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role
- Strong proficiency and experience with agile practices, processes and artefacts, and in applying scrum methodologies in a software development environment
- Experience in interpreting agile metrics to help identify and drive improvement opportunities, with a proven passion for mentoring and supporting teams
- Experience in using tools such as JIRA and JIRA Align, with a deep understanding of JIRA Scrum Boards
- Experience in working in a scaled agile environment, collaborating with other Scrum Masters, Product Owners and teams to ensure work is planned and aligned, and dependencies are identified and managed
- Experience in tracking and reporting on team progress in a scaled agile environment
- Scrum Master certification (CSM/PSM) preferred
- Financial services experience preferred but not essential
Roles and Responsibilities - additional
- Lead and coordinate logistics for agile ceremonies and events
- Work with the Product Owner and team to ensure all work is tracked in the backlog, scrum team capacity is utilized effectively, and work is accurately balanced across team members
- Work with technology & business partners to understand project objectives, priorities, timelines, use cases and requirements
- Generate and maintain team performance metrics to provide an effective feedback loop for the team and visibility to partners
- Identify team improvement opportunities and enable the team to implement continuous improvements
- Coordinate Scrum boards for the Scrum team
- Encourage agile behaviours; reinforce agile values and principles and support the team to follow the agile processes and practices
- Inspire and drive a collaborative, open and supportive team culture through team building and engagement practices
- You will be the Scrum Master on a team that is located across Ireland and the US
- You will advise and lead the team on agile values, practices and processes to ensure that the team is fully functional, productive, and focused on the sprint goals
