We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Cork, contributing to a wide range of impactful projects across Ireland and Europe.
You will be part of a collaborative, 15-person infrastructure team based across Dublin and Cork, delivering high-quality civil engineering design services across both public and private sectors. Our work primarily supports projects within the Science, Industry, and Technology sectors and is delivered in close coordination with multi-disciplinary teams both locally and globally.

Key Responsibilities
· Deliver high-quality drawings, specifications, and reports on time and within budget.
· Lead and coordinate engineering design teams on a range of infrastructure projects.
· Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to junior engineers and graduates.
· Act as a client liaison, representing Arup at meetings and providing innovative and expert technical advice.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
· Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 10 years’ experience in a consultancy setting.
· Chartered Engineer status (or an equivalent recognised professional qualification).
· Proven experience in delivering infrastructure projects in the Science and Industry sectors.
· Strong technical expertise in the design of site infrastructure, including:
- Surface water and foul drainage
- Water supply
- Roads and car parks
- Earthworks
- Coordination of MEP services
Other experience
· Familiarity with Irish planning and regulatory frameworks, and experience managing infrastructure projects through the planning process.
· Experience working with Irish Water, local authorities, and utility providers.
· Proven ability to coordinate and manage interfaces between disciplines (e.g., architectural, structural, geotechnical, M&E, landscape).
· Strong experience working in a BIM/digital design environment, including civil services coordination.
· Proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, and other BIM software.
· Understanding of Navisworks and clash detection workflows.
· Knowledge of MicroDrainage or similar network modelling tools.
