Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Imaging Engineer to lead all the electrical engineering design, test, and support within its cross-functional R&D team. This includes system design, analog/digital printed circuit boards, system wiring/interfaces, compliance design and test, Production support, and Service escalations.
Responsibilities
· Analog, digital, power, control, and communications design for scientific and industrial X-ray systems
· Develops electrical requirements and specifications for product development in collaboration with cross-functional teams
· Cost effective electrical design solutions for manufacturability and serviceability
· Develops, delivers, and manages assigned projects and tasks
· Procures and manages contractors
· Designs, reviews, and manages systems and subsystems tests for electrical, safety, EMC, and related applicable compliance requirements
· Collaborates effectively with technical cross-discipline to develop innovative system solutions
Required Skills and Experience
· Demonstrated track record of developing capital products and processes for new products
· PCB design, schematic, and fabrication experience
· Microcontroller system design and programming experience
· Design control, risk management, PDM, PLM experience in an ISO 9000 or equivalent environment
· Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for optimizing product costs
· Knowledge and extensive experience in Project Management
· Extensive experience with motors, motor control, sensors (e.g., Hall effect, encoders, load cells)
· Extensive user experience with electronic design tools (e.g., schematic capture, simulation, PCB layout)
· Extensive design and test experience for electrical safety, system safety, and EMC compliance
· Effective communication skills with superiors, peers and subordinates
Requirements
B.S. Electrical Engineering
2 - 10 years of professional experience
Medical device experience preferred
X-ray and high voltage system experience preferred
Six Sigma/Lean certified preferred
