Semi state body within Aviation is looking to hire a number of Senior Front End Developers that will bridge the gap between digital design and technical delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing modern web architectures, ensuring code quality and performance, and delivering front-end solutions that provide measurable value to the business and its passengers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using React and Next.js.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and visual designs into high-quality, responsive code.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and SEO, leveraging the features of Next.js (SSR/SSG).
- Integrate front-end applications with headless CMS platforms and various internal/external APIs.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical grooming sessions to provide effort estimations and feasibility insights.
- Work closely with QA teams to ensure all features are thoroughly tested and meet the required acceptance criteria.
- Advocate for front-end best practices, including accessibility (WCAG), modular component design, and state management.
- Support the Programme Manager by identifying technical risks and dependencies within the front-end stack.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Front-End Developer working on large-scale, production-grade web applications.
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Strong understanding of modern CSS methodologies (e.g., Tailwind, CSS Modules, or Styled Components).
- Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API, or Zustand) and data fetching (React Query/SWR).
- Proven ability to identify and implement technical solutions that meet business needs and represent value for money.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional squad.
- Deep experience with Agile delivery models and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
