Senior Occupational Therapist – Acute Hospital, South Dublin, Ireland
Cpl Healthcare in partnership with a leading acute hospital in South Dublin are recruiting for a Senior Occupational Therapist in the Acute Medicine.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist , you will oversee the general medical and surgical services within the hospital which cover Endocrinology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Oncology and General Surgery as well as working closely with OT’s including the Discharge Planning Senior Occupational Therapist and the ICU Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to establish and lead out on implementation of care pathways, manage complex cases and complex discharges.

The Hospital is a provider of local, regional and national specialties. It is also a national urology centre, the second largest provider of dialysis services in the country, a regional orthopaedic trauma centre and a designated trauma unit.
This position offers the following benefits:

Candidates interested in the role must have:
· A recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist and ideally current CORU registration of eligible for same.
· At least 3 years full time (or equivalent) post qualification clinical experience in an acute hospital and/or community care setting
· Experience assessing for and providing adaptive and enabling equipment to facilitate discharge from hospital.
· Experience of planning complex discharges including home and access visits
· Experience working with patients requiring specialist seating/wheelchairs.
· Experience in supervision and clinical training of junior staff
· Police clearance from any country lived or worked in for 6 months or more
· Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
· Flexibility in work practice
