Senior Occupational Therapist – Acute Hospital

Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with a leading acute hospital in South Dublin, is seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Acute Medicine team.
The Role
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a key leadership role across general medical services, including Endocrinology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory Medicine, Oncology, and General Surgery.
You will work closely with Occupational Therapy colleagues, including the Discharge Planning Senior Occupational Therapist and the ICU Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist, to lead the development and implementation of care pathways, manage complex cases, and support complex discharge planning.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a progressive acute hospital that provides local, regional, and national specialist services, including:

Essential Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- CORU registration
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification clinical experience (full-time or equivalent) in an acute hospital and/or community setting
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexible and proactive approach to practice
- Police clearance from any country lived or worked in for 6 months or more
- Experience in:
- Assessing and prescribing adaptive and enabling equipment
- Planning and managing complex discharges, including home and access visits
- Working with patients requiring specialist seating and wheelchairs
- Supervising and providing clinical training to junior staff
