Psychologist, Senior – CAMHS, Co. Westmeath
Cp in partnership with our client, the HSE are recruiting for a Senior Psychologist on behalf of a community Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team based in Mullingar, Co Westmeath.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive service committed to enhancing the mental health and wellbeing of children and adolescents in counties Longford and Westmeath.
As a Senior Psychologist, you will provide advanced psychological assessments, formulations, and therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents referred to CAMHS. The role includes working closely with service users and families, contributing to service development, and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
This is a 0.8WTE position for a 6-month period initially, with potential for extension.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
· Essential Qualifications Have a recognised University Degree or Diploma (QQI level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject;
and
· Hold, a recognised professional post-graduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in clinical, counselling or educational psychology or an equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health.
Essential Experience
· Applicants must have at least 5 years satisfactory postgraduate experience in the area of professional Clinical or Counselling Psychology with at least two years’ post doctorate experience as a Basic Grade Clinical or Counselling Psychologist.
· Applicants must be a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland or eligible for same
· Candidates qualified outside the Republic of Ireland must have their qualifications validated by the Dept of Health
