We are proud to have launched a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team plays a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a centre of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization.
SiriusXM’s new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM’s streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in coordinating end-to-end testing, implementing best practices, and driving quality standards within SiriusXM’s product suite. With a focus on both independent problem-solving and team collaboration, you’ll guide quality initiatives, mentor team members, and contribute to the development of strategic testing methodologies that elevate the overall quality of our Web products.
What You’ll Do:
● Comprehensive Testing and Process Implementation
○ Coordinate and execute end-to-end testing for projects, ensuring quality standards are met across all Web applications and browsers.
○ Develop and implement best practices within Quality Engineering, contributing to quality assurance processes and testing strategies.
○ Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and design documentation to develop test strategies that ensure clarity, completeness, and testability.
○ Create, execute, and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing functionality, using advanced testing techniques such as Black Box, Regression, and Stress testing.
● Technical Expertise and Problem-Solving
○ Exhibit expert understanding of SDLC methodologies, identifying and solving complex issues by taking a new perspective on existing solutions.
○ Debug and differentiate between client and backend issues, validating fixes and new features with precision.
○ Monitor and evaluate test outcomes, using data to refine test strategies and improve the effectiveness of testing plans.
○ Work with management to allocate resources effectively, ensuring project deadlines and quality standards are consistently achieved.
● Mentorship and Team Leadership
○ Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment and guiding them through testing methodologies and best practices.
○ Act as the primary point of contact for major projects, representing the QE team in review sessions, design meetings, and status updates.
○ Support the Quality Engineering team in the application of new technologies and industry trends, supporting process improvements across the organization.
● Metrics and Reporting
○ Provide metric reporting on test execution, defects, and project status to stakeholders, maintaining transparency throughout the testing cycle.
○ Use data and test metrics to inform strategic testing decisions, contributing insights that enhance the effectiveness of Quality Engineering practices.
○ Contribute to the development and enforcement of quality guidelines, helping to shape the overall quality engineering process.
What You’ll Need:
● Educational Background and Experience
○ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred, or 6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or a similar technical field.
● Technical Expertise
○ 3-5 years of experience in leading cross-functional projects, with a working knowledge of automation frameworks.
○ Strong knowledge of digital streaming devices and current industry trends, using this understanding to drive effective quality engineering practices.
○ Solid command of web standards, best practices, and browser compatibility issues.
○ Experience using test management tools such as XRay.
○ Demonstrable experience testing responsive and mobile web experiences.
○ Experience with project management, demonstrating a track record of delivering high-quality products while adhering to timelines.
○ Nice to have familiarity with debugging tools such as Postman or Charles Proxy.
○ Nice to have familiarity with HTML5/JavaScript environments beyond web browsers, such as HTML-based TV applications.
● Communication and Interpersonal Skills
○ Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear guidance and status updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
○ Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
○ Proven capability in public speaking, presenting complex information to both internal and external partners.
