The Opportunity
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Hard Facilities Manager / Technical Services Manager to take the lead on a high-profile educational campus in Dublin 7. This role is ideal for a confident, technically strong leader who thrives in complex, service-driven environments and wants genuine influence over technical strategy, asset performance, and long-term FM direction. You will be the senior technical authority on site, accountable for the delivery of all hard FM services, compliance, and energy management across a flagship PPP contract.
Key Responsibilities
In this senior leadership role, you will:
- Oversee all planned and reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, and asset lifecycle performance.
- Lead and develop a small multidisciplinary technical team, building a culture of accountability, professionalism, and high service standards.
- Act as the key technical contact for the client, advising on engineering solutions and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Drive the site’s energy management strategy, reporting, and sustainability improvements.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, environmental requirements, and all relevant legislation.
- Manage contractual KPIs and SLAs, including budget oversight and cost control.
- Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and performance enhancement.
- Take ownership of a significant BMS improvement project scheduled for 2026, ensuring system optimisation and future resilience.
About You
You will bring:
- Approximately 5+ years’ experience in Technical Services or Hard FM Management within a leadership capacity.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, BMS, mechanical and electrical systems—HVAC expertise is particularly important.
- A solid understanding of energy management, sustainability principles, and associated reporting.
- Proven success managing engineering teams, contractors, and specialist service providers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative, engaging leadership style.
- Experience with project delivery, audits, CMMS/CAFM/BIM systems, and contractor control.
- A relevant qualification in Engineering or Building Services (Mechanical or Electrical trade minimum).
- Background in complex, regulated environments such as education, healthcare, or pharmaceutical facilities.
