About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Calibration Technician to join our client's technical support team. In this role, you’ll ensure that all measuring and test equipment meets precise operational and quality standards. You’ll work across electronic, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, and hydro-mechanical systems, playing a key part in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of our production and test equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibrate and adjust a wide range of test and measuring instruments to meet required specifications and standards.
- Perform tests, troubleshoot issues, and maintain equipment including pressure gauges, tension meters, and other calibration tools.
- Set up calibration sequences, methods, and procedures using detailed specifications, drawings, and blueprints.
- Disassemble, clean, repair, and replace defective components as needed.
- Record calibration data accurately and maintain documentation in line with quality processes.
- Verify quality and performance using statistical or other control procedures.
- Support continuous improvement by recommending process optimizations and equipment upgrades.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to junior technicians as required.
About You
- A hands-on problem solver with a strong mechanical or electronic aptitude.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting technical documents such as diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Capable of managing your own workload while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Motivated by accuracy, quality, and continuous learning.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in calibration, testing, or technical support within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Vocational or technical education in electronics, mechatronics, instrumentation, or a related field preferred.
- Solid understanding of calibration procedures, measurement systems, and test equipment operation.
- Experience using quality assurance or statistical control systems is an advantage.
