Environmental Engineer / Environmental Compliance Lead - Dublin 22
📍 Site-based | Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Dublin 22
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to lead environmental compliance, regulatory engagement, and sustainability initiatives at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site operating under an Integrated Environmental Licence (IEL).
This is a primarily on-site role with responsibility for ensuring compliance with Irish and EU environmental legislation while driving continuous improvement in environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Site SME for the Integrated Environmental Licence (IEL)
- Manage environmental compliance, permits, and statutory reporting (AERs)
- Lead EPA and regulatory inspections, audits, and licence reviews
- Maintain and improve the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
- Oversee environmental monitoring (air, water, waste, energy, noise)
- Support EIAs / ERAs for capital projects and process changes
- Drive waste reduction, resource efficiency, and sustainability initiatives
- Deliver environmental training and promote a strong EHS culture
Requirements
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in environmental engineering within regulated manufacturing (pharmaceutical or chemical industry preferred)
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification
- DGSA / Dangerous Goods certification
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance
- Experience working with regulatory authorities and audits
- Site-based availability (non-hybrid role)
- Monday–Friday working pattern (core hours 10:00–15:00)
