My client is seeking a part‑time Grade III Clerical Officer to support the smooth daily running of administrative functions across community services. This role is a 3 month temporary contract with possibility to extend. €17.37 per hour. Ideally this role will be Mon, Tue & Fri (this schedule can be reassessed once individual begins employment )
Key Responsibilities
- Organise clinics, schedule appointments, manage filing, archiving and general office tasks.
- Handle high email volumes and diary management using Microsoft Outlook.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure strong attention to detail.
- Process claims under various schemes (e.g. Vision & Hearing, Chiropody, Hardship, Optical).
- Provide cover for colleagues at short notice when required.
- Maintain and update databases including staffing, KPIs, waiting lists and recruitment tracking.
- Use internal systems relevant to the role (training provided).

- Build positive working relationships with administrative and clinical colleagues.
- Contribute to continuous service improvements and process efficiencies.
- Maintain organised manual and digital filing systems.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Previous administration experience in a busy setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to provide cover at short notice.
- Experience in HR or Finance processes is advantageous.
- Professional, dependable and able to prioritise workload.
Training
Full training will be provided.
