SiriusXM’s new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. We are proud to be launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a center of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization.
How you’ll make an impact:
You will be joining a team of Test Engineers responsible for testing of SiriusXM software and products related, but not limited to in-vehicle infotainment systems and aftermarket SiriusXM products.
The Senior Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test procedures, as well as reporting (analyze logs, submit tickets, generate reports), to ensure that software programs work as intended. This position will be a part of the software development team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with software engineers, product, and program managers.
What you’ll do:
- Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, ensuring the quality and stability of the system throughout the project
- Generate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management
- Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.
- Anticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years’ experience as a Test engineer
- Experience in Test Frameworks
- Experience in test automation
- Experience with tools - Jira, Git, Charles (It is an HTTP proxy / HTTP monitor / Reverse Proxy that enables a developer to view all of the HTTP and SSL / HTTPS traffic between their machine and the Internet. This includes requests, responses and the HTTP headers (which contain the cookies and caching information).
- Experienced in Consumer or Automotive Client Application
- Experienced in Tools for test automation development
- Application of software development life cycle concept.
- Knowledge and application of at least one programming language
General Skills:
- History working with automation frameworks, analyze logs, report issues
- Tester's Mindset - Strong testing acumen as well as the technical know-how to automate the work
- Troubleshooting - Exceptional ability to isolate & troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging automated testing methodologies
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
- Knowledgeable of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
